Oliver Grüters, new President for EFIBCA
At the annual meeting in Dubai of the European Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container Association – EFIBCA www.efibca.com , Mr. Grüters Oliver has been elected as new president for EFIBCA and he succeeds Dr. Amir Samadijavan (Greif Flexibles Germany).
Mr. Grüters worked for more than 15 years in the packaging segment "Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container" (FIBC). Since 2001 he is Managing Director of Boxon GmbH in Germany. In 2009, he became head of the division "Boxon bulk" of the Swedish parent company Boxon Group (Helsingborg; www.boxon.com )
Oliver Grüters has been since 2006 the head of FIBC committee within the German Plastic packaging association IK Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen e.V. (IK, D-61348 Bad Homburg; www.kunststoffverpackungen.de). He is also board member of the IK association.
Since 2008 Mr. Grüters is also a board member of the General Association of Plastics Processing Industries - www.gkv.de
The Association EFIBCA, the secretariat of which is held from IK, represents the interests of producers and distributors of FIBCs –also known as “Big-Bags”- active in the European market. In these flexible containers usually up to 2.5 t loose bulk materials are packaged, including foods and dangerous goods.
Auf der Jahresversammlung der European Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container Association (EFIBCA, D-61348 Bad Homburg; www.efibca.com) in Dubai wurde Oliver Grüters zum neuen Präsidenten gewählt. Er folgt auf Dr. Amir Samadijavan (Greif Flexibles Germany).
Grüters arbeitet seit mehr als 15 Jahren im Verpackungssegment „Flexible Industrielle Großbehälter“ (FIBC). Seit 2001 ist er Geschäftsführer der Boxon GmbH (D-47877 Willich), 2009 übernahm er die Leitung der Sparte „Boxon Bulk“ des schwedischen Mutterkonzerns Boxon Group (Helsingborg; www.boxon.com). 2006 wurde Grüters zum Vorsitzenden der Fachgruppe „FIBC“ in der IK Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen e.V. (IK, D-61348 Bad Homburg; www.kunststoffverpackungen.de) ernannt; er gehört auch dem Vorstand des Verbandes an. Seit 2008 ist er außerdem Vorstandsmitglied im Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende Industrie e.V. (GKV, D-61348 Bad Homburg; www.gkv.de).
Der Verband EFIBCA, dessen Sekretariat von der IK in Bad Homburg geführt wird, vertritt die Interessen der im europäischen Markt aktiven Hersteller und Händler von FIBC, auch bekannt als „Big Bags“. In diesen flexiblen industriellen Großbehältern werden üblicherweise bis zu 2,5 t lose Schüttgüter verpackt, darunter auch Lebensmittel und Gefahrgüter.
